• Myelin sheath surrounding the nerves: cholesterol, fatty acids, vitamins B12 and folate.

• Nerve cell membranes: Nervonic acid (elongated fatty acids from olive oil).

• Nerve cell signaling: sphingolipids (fatty acids with phosphorus or choline).
